Class Descriptions

Stretch Into Stillness

This online class combines elements of Deep Stretch Yoga, with moderate to deep holds, breath awareness, and 20-30 minutes of deep relaxation (savasana). Detailed guidance in effective use of supportive props offers students the benefit of deep inward focus. Yogic sleep (yoga nidra) leads participants into relaxation through a body scan and additional visualizations. This class will improve flexibility, release muscle tension and release subtle energy to balance mind and body.

Gentle Joints

In this online class, we will practice one type of Pawanmuktasana, which has word origins of pawan for prana, mukta for release, and asana for pose. These are slow, subtle, and powerful. The anti-rheumatic group of asanas is about loosening joints, and along with the other two groups (digestive and bandha), help to relieve blockages and improve energy flow. They are considered a prelude to more advanced practice. This class will culminate with a 20-30 minutes of Yoga Nidra.

Sliding scale class registration, suggested $10/class with monthly options.
